Region Play Brings Turner in!  E-mail

Coming off of a much needed win over Portal 35-12 the Indians set their sights on the first jewel of the region crown, The Turner County Rebels. The Rebels are 0-4 on the season with losses to Worth Co. 29-0, Seminole County 48-12, Crisp County 10-6 and Brooks county 42-0. Don’t let that fool you. Coach Erik Soliday 153-82-2 is a proven winner and will field a team that will field a very experienced group of 15 starters coming back from a spectacular 10-3 season. The Rebels will have a formidable line behind college prospect Michael Donahoo, Edward Thompkins and Shawn Green but a new quarterback in Markevian Teague. The Indians must maintain the level of play that they have exhibited the past three weeks to beat the Rebels.

Don’t forget this week is Homecoming! Come out and support the Indian student body. If you can’t make it to the field you can tune into radio FM 98.5 or connect online at www.IrwinCountyIndians.com. The Michael Smith – Rain and Hail Pregame show with host Bill Barrs will begin at 7:00 pm followed by Andy Paulk and Kelly Wynn at 7:30 for the play by play action.
