Hi everyone,

We will be hosting a bone marrow donor drive in honor of Jean Livingston at the homecoming football game Friday night. As many of you already know, Jean has been battling Leukemia and has learned that she is in need of a bone marrow transplant. However, thus far, no genetic match for the transplant as been identified. Hopefully, our efforts will help find a match for Jean and/or for someone else in need of a donor.

If you would like to be tested as a possible donor, all you have to do is show up on Friday. It is a simple and quick process. If you would like more information about donation or the donor process, please visit the Be The Match website at www.marrow.org.

There is no cost for being tested. However, it costs the registry about $100 per test, so please also consider making a financial donation to help offset the cost of testing for others.

I need several adults to assist with the drive by helping volunteers fill out information forms and others duties. Thanks to those who have already offered to help. Please respond to this email if you are willing to help also. We will be done in time for you to see the half-time festivities.

Please spread the word within your circle of friends and also at your churches. This is a wonderful opportunity for us to potentially save many lives...especially one who is special to all of us!
